Personal Trainer and Licensed Massage Therapists

I have been a Personal Trainer at the New Orleans Athletic Club for 21 years.  I graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Fitness and Wellness.  I graduated from Blue Cliff College as a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2015. Soon after I assisted and co-treated performing Instrument Assistant Soft Tissue Mobilization and ART for Provance Chiropractic Sports and wellness. In 2016 I started and opened up my business Function 4 Performance.

Since suffering a back injury in 2005, I had to seek for the best treatments available in order for me to function at work, at rest and at play.  Along the way it helped me understand and experience some of the best techniques available. I knew the best way to help manage my pain and discomfort was to find the right combination soft tissue treatments along with corrective exercise techniques.  As a trainer with some of the knowledge of my own injury, I started searching and finding ways to help myself. Meanwhile, I started to pick up clientele that had muscle and joint discomforts that had allowed me to give them the guidance with exercise, stretching techniques, and postural correction improvements, but that was not enough. I knew that soft tissue treatments was the answer and as a trainer I was not able to do that for them.  An opportunity arose to further my career in becoming a Massage Therapist and I took advantage of that.  I am now the only Massage Therapist who is also currently certified in A.R.T., Fascial Stretch Therapists, and M.A.T. in the country.

As a Licensed Massage Therapist and Personal Trainer, I can give people an opportunity to provide a path of treatment to achieve their goals. My clients range from professional athletes, committed fitness enthusiasts, "weekend warriors", chronic pain sufferers, and those want to tune up their body to stay injury free. Function 4 Performances utilizes advanced techniques that have eliminated pain, improved performance and restored healthy movement for many clients.
